Iran holds memorial for late director Farajollah Salahshour

Memorial has been held to mark second year anniversary of Iran director Farajollah Salahshour’s passing.

The event was held  in Iranian capital city of Tehran on Tuesday February 27, 2018 in the presence of cultural and political figures.

During the ceremony a book dubbed 'Basic Principals of Islamic Cinema' written by the director of the acclaimed TV series ‘Prophet Joseph’ and ‘The Men of Angelos’ had been unveiled.

Born 1952 in Qazvin, Salahshour was widely known for his historic religious series ‘Prophet Joseph’.

He entered the realm of art with acting in theater before appearing in several movies, including ‘Flight at Night’, ‘Human and Arms’, ‘Thirsty Palm Grove’ and ‘The World Upside-Down’.

Salahshour has directed and appeared in the movie ‘Prophet Job’. He also wrote, produced and directed the TV series ‘Prophet Joseph’ in 2007.

The director passed away  at the age of 63 on February 27, 2016, in Tehran.
